Terry O'Neill
Terry O'Neill CBE was one of the world’s most collected photographers, with work held in major galleries and private collections worldwide. Beginning his career at the dawn of the 1960s, he recognised early that youth culture was becoming a global story and set out to document the emerging stars of film, fashion, and music who would define the Swinging Sixties.
Over a career spanning six decades, he photographed icons including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, and Amy Winehouse. He received the Royal Photographic Society Centenary Medal in 2011 and was appointed CBE in 2019 for services to photography.
