Sónia Apolónia

Biography

Sónia Apolónia (b. 1974, Portugal) is a photographer whose work explores the interplay of light, shadow, and form within architectural and introspective spaces. A graduate of ETIC – School of Technologies, Innovation and Creation, Portugal, Apolónia draws inspiration from surrealism and abstract art, developing a visual language that merges emotional depth with formal precision.

Her photographic series “Sound of Shadows”, “Echo of Light”, and “Soul of Fire” capture the passage of time as a fleeting and reflective phenomenon. Through a refined sensitivity to spatial rhythm and atmosphere, Apolónia’s images evoke meditative encounters between reality and perception, where geometry, reflection, and light converge into poetic compositions.
